We’re not here to support religious institutions, missions or pastors who participate in any kind of “prosperity gospel.” We are not here to back Megachurches (they don’t need our help), or even other legitimate institutions like Catholic Charities or the Jewish Federation. They aren’t in the kind of crisis situation like thousands upon thousands of community pastors, rabbis, imams, other ministers, and more, who are holding their communities together with masking tape and chewing gum. These are the people we help.

Further, we acknowledge that some organizations utilize religion as they engage in hate speech in the form of antisemitism, racism, or attacking those in the LGTBQIA+ community. We do not support any organization that peddles hate in any way, shape, or form.

Our executive director, Rev. Ribbons Harris, reminds us that when Jesus told those at the Sermon on the Mount to, above all, “love one another,” he did not stutter.​ Therefore, we espouse the ancient adage, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
